Euphoric Reunion

Nostalgia is overrated, I thought

To meet a bunch of people

Who, now, well could be

Beaten by mundane of life

Yet , would brag their ordinary lives

Cyncism of age written down

Nevertheless, walk the past

An occasional jaunt

Perhaps a moment to stay afloat

Find a missing piece of self

A foregone friend holding on

To finish an incomplete rhythm

How does it feel to meet

Decades of forgotten greet?

Stolen smiles turn to laughter

Gentle poke prod to melting hugs

Humor and inside jokes

A scene to behold

I look from far, all I can see

A giant ball of happiness

High on spirits and bud

Dancing to the bygone tunes

Offbeat rhythm, broken tune

Stoned on nostalgic croon

When was the last time

You witnessed a zealous love?

One sheds tears of delight

Others merrily dance and laugh

Estatic in each other's presence

That, my friends, is a euphoric reunion!!
